Hi, hello, so glad you’re here!
This newsletter will be light on pics and gifs today except for two that are critical. And here comes the first one.
It’s a delight and a thrill to say to you, here, today: Then Comes Marriage is alive in the world!
But release day is Tuesday, you might say. Today is Sunday.
Welp, because you’re a newsletter subscriber, you get it here first: the paperback is live and ready to be ordered on Amazon.
This is intentional. For indie authors, Amazon doesn’t allow preorders except on ebooks. Meaning indie authors can run a preorder for the ebook but not paperback or hardback.
In an effort to circumnavigate the system, I set the paperback to go live, Sunday, October 15th. Essentially hoping to give paperback readers a fair shot at having this book in their hands come actual release day.
So, if you’re one of those people who prefers a physical copy of a book, today is your day! It’s HERE! Make that free 2-day shipping work for you! Order up and order fast!
Book Signings
However. If you’re in the Knoxville area, and plan to attend a book signing for Then Comes Marriage—please buy a book at the store!
Our beloved bookstores need those purchases. And if you’re coming to any of the events listed below, there will be plenty of copies for the purchasing. Plus, you don’t want to walk into a bookstore holding a copy of a book you bought on Amazon, right? It’s like showing up for a professional chef’s party carrying snacks you picked up at Target.
Don’t be that guy. I’m not even sure they let that guy in, but, even if they do, don’t do it!
Pleaseandthankyou.
EVENTS!
Bear Den Books Book Launch & Book Signing: Oct 17th, 6:30pm, a book signing, a Q&A between Cally Chisholm, of Nurturing Faith Journal, and me, on the book, romance, writing, and any questions you may have, and treats and a giveaway!
Cork & Cover Book Launch & Book Signing: Oct 21st, 11am, a book signing and reading, treats, and a giveaway, in dreamy, historic downtown Clinton!
Union Ave Books Book Signing for the Series: Oct 29th, 3pm, a book series signing, a Q&A between Cally Chisholm, of Nurturing Faith Journal, and me, on both my books, writing, and any questions you may have, and a giveaway!
As for that giveaway. IF you attend a book signing in person and sign up for my newsletter (which you, clever friend, have already done! but you can do it again to get in on this fun time) you’ll be entered to win a prize! I’ll get sign-ups at all three book signings and then draw a name. The winner gets a $20 gift card to the bookstore where they attended the signing. How fun is that?!
As for that Sale
Don’t you love a sale? I’m a sucker for a sale. And, again, because you’re a subscriber, you get early news.
The ebook for First Comes Love will be on sale this week! Monday, Oct 16th through Sunday, Oct 22nd, its available at the gorgeous deal of .99.
I know! It’s the joy of ebook life, being able to drop that price to practically nothing! So, if you click this link Monday, or any day next week, it should take you to a radically reduced book where you can purchase at your leisure.
As you’re here, there’s a good chance you’ve already read First Comes Love. However, has your best friend? Your mother? Your kid’s teacher? That friendly cashier at Aldi with whom you exchange pleasant small talk? Grab their email addresses and start passing out First Comes Love prizes.
You can give Oprah-style and all for about a dollar a copy! The person will appreciate it. I will appreciate it. And you’ll be ahead of the game, giving generously long before Thanksgiving (the USA edition).
That’s my pitch. This funny, heartwarming, lovely ebook, at .99, as a gift to one and all.
That’s a Wrap
Keeping this short and to the point matters to me. So that’s the news for now!
Remember to subscribe if you haven’t. More news coming your way, including a newsletter giveaway!
Otherwise, this is almost entirely all I’m thinking about right now.
If you pick up a copy of Then Comes Marriage, let me know below!
And let’s get those reviews online! Reviews are just about the #1 reason people buy books from unfamiliar authors. I love them in all the places, especially Amazon, Goodreads, and on Instagram (if you tag me there, I’ll share it too!).
Phew, what a way to start a week.
Take care and talk soon!
